I totally agree that the weather and our moods are connected! Rainy, overcast days are the worst! They totally zap my energy and all I want to do is curl up under a blanket, read a book, and nap.
Thunderstorms, on the other hand, are invigorating. There’s power in the air and I feel alive. The air is electric and infused with the scent of rain. I love the way the wind whips my hair and clothes. And lightning dances across the sky in displays that take your breath away.
Having said that, I wouldn’t want to be outside during an active thunderstorm. I absolutely hate being caught in a downpour.
And hail? No, thanks.
Don’t even get me started about thunder. I’m fine with the deep rumbling, but when it makes that horribly loud cracking sound, that scares me as much as it did when I was a child.
I’d rather enjoy the storm from the protection of a covered porch, or through a window. They are beautiful, a real testament to the power of Mother Nature, but they can also be very dangerous.
